L'OREAL Magic Nude Liquid Powder Review

I have wanted to try the L'Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder foundation for a while now.  As luck would have it, I was offered to participate in a review of the product through SheSpeaks.  They sent me a bottle to try out and share with you.  I was not paid for this review and the thoughts are my own.

About L’Oréal Paris Magic Nude Liquid Powder Makeup:
This revolutionary liquid-powder formula glides on and transforms on contact to a fresh, powder-like finish for a look that’s flawless, yet undetectable. The lightweight foundation with SPF 18 will make you feel like you aren’t wearing makeup at all!

To apply: Shake well. For best results, pour just a few drops onto fingers and apply directly onto skin. Not recommended for use with a sponge or brush.

The first thing that I noticed about the bottle is that the opening in fairly small.  This is good if you are wanting to use a small amount or if you are wanting to prevent spills.  Of course I am a bit of a klutz, so you can see that I still made a mess with my bottle.

Of course, the next thing that I did was play with the foundation by testing it on the back of my hand.  I just had to see how it could go from liquid to powder.  It is actually really neat to watch and it feels so silky and soft while you are rubbing it in.  I applied the foundation all over my face using my fingers and noticed that the coverage was very even and it truly did have a light powder finish.  This foundation is very lightweight and perfect for anyone wanting light to medium coverage.  There are twelve shades to choose from and at $12.95 per bottle, this is a steal.  I also love the fact that it contains a sunscreen as I believe that every girl needs protection from the sun.

Here is a photo of myself before the foundation, directly after (in direct sunlight), and again after a long day of teaching.

My Take
While this foundation is perfect for those who like a light foundation, I have several flaws that I like to conceal.  In fact, L'Oreal True Match concealer is my best friend!  This foundation did not give me the coverage that works best for me.  I plan to use this during the summer when I tend to use lighter foundations.  My skin is a lot easier to manage in the summer when the sun fixes all my problem areas.  Also, who likes a heavy foundation in the heat? ;)  I definitely think that this foundation is worth the money and I enjoy the technique of turning from a liquid to powder.  I am a fan of the L'Oreal line and would certainly recommend this product to a friend.

I hope this review helps anyone who is interested in trying L'Oreal Magic Nude
